The Essentials Pantry Nears Completion

An army of volunteers has been working to upgrade the lower level of The Neighborhood Bridge’s office for the past few months. Two spaces in particular are expected to be ready by early summer— a small conference room and our Essentials Pantry space.

Renovations have included:

  • Cleaning up and cleaning out the rooms, which were used for years as parish storage.

  • Removing asbestos.

  • Installing new lighting.

  • Laying carpet tile.

  • Installing a workstation, shelving, and storage in the Essentials Pantry.

Jim Jankowski, volunteer Chair of the Facilities Committee, has designed and supervised the renovation of the building, with Facilities Committee member, Martha Spatz, helping oversee the work in the lower level. Both have also pitched in as needed to help do the work!

Special thanks to the following volunteers for their help with the renovation: Chris Griffith, Tom Lizzo, Joe Mayerhofer, Terry Roach, Tony Schmitz, and Rob Tamillow.
