DEI Workshop Helps To Build Understanding and Bridges

On Saturday, February 21, The Neighborhood Bridge staff, leadership, and key volunteers gathered at the PCC Austin Family Health and Wellness Center in Austin for a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workshop, facilitated by DEI expert Cameron Barnes of Effective Emergence.

 The workshop engaged participants through interactive group discussions, activities, and role-playing exercises. Participants explored topics such as identity, unconscious bias, and intersectionality.

 The goal of the workshop was to build a shared understanding and strengthen practical communication skills between TNB staff, volunteers, partners, and participants as we work to build bridges between communities on the west side of Chicago.
