Cars of Hope Turns Your Vehicle Into a Lifeline for a Struggling Family

For over 15 years, Cars of Hope has accepted used cars in any condition and provided them to struggling families in need of a vehicle.

The Neighborhood Bridge’s partnership with Cars of Hope allows TNB to apply for and provide vehicles to families at partner schools who have fallen on hard times.

Research has shown that having a reliable vehicle is a strong predictor of escaping poverty. By donating your used vehicle to Cars of Hope, you provide deserving families at our partner schools with transportation to get to work, access healthcare, and care for their children.

The process is simple:

  • All vehicles are accepted - Cars of Hope accepts all cars, SUVs, minivans, and trucks in any condition, whether running or not. They also accept motorcycles, RVs, boats, trailers, mobile homes, jet skis, buses, and snowmobiles.

  • Fast, free pickup - They will tow away your vehicle for free within a week, usually sooner.

  • Inspection of vehicle - Cars of Hope’s skilled volunteer technicians inspect the vehicle. If it can be made safe and reliable, it is gifted to a vetted recipient referred by one of their partner organizations, such as The Neighborhood Bridge. If not, it is sold and the proceeds are used to fund repairs on other vehicles.

  • They handle the paperwork - This includes the title transfer and providing an official tax receipt based on how your car is used.
